Job Description

Codelabprojects Nigeria Limited is seeking a talented and innovative Electrical Engineer (Instrumentation & Control) to join its Research and Development Unit. This is a full time, on site role for a highly skilled professional with strong electrical engineering fundamentals and experience applying advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics within engineering systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, and optimization of cutting edge tools and systems, particularly within oil and gas (upstream) and related technical domains.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components to meet project requirements.
• Integrate AI techniques such as machine learning and pattern recognition into engineering solutions.
• Develop, prototype, and program electronic circuits using Arduino and other microcontroller platforms.
• Design and optimize printed circuit boards (PCBs) using industry-standard tools.
• Prepare electrical schematics and system designs using AutoCAD.
• Analyze and visualize engineering data using Power BI to support insights and decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including software engineers and data scientists.
• Support R&D initiatives by testing and improving systems and tools.
• Stay current with advancements in electrical engineering, AI, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (First Class or 2:1 only); Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Proven experience with AI applications, including machine learning and pattern recognition.
• Strong knowledge of Arduino programming and electronic circuit prototyping.
• Hands on experience in PCB design and optimization.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical schematics and system designs.
• Experience using Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with an innovative mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• NYSC completion is required.
• Ability to resume immediately is an advantage.
