Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Social Media Manager, based in Lagos, Nigeria, with the flexibility to work remotely on occasion. The Social Media Manager will create and implement innovative content strategies, plan and manage social media calendars, and develop engaging social media campaigns. They will also monitor social media platforms, foster meaningful online community engagement, analyze performance metrics, and ensure optimal social media optimization (SMO).

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing social media for a brand — a strong portfolio is essential
• Ability to create original, high-quality content that tells stories and drives engagement — not just Canva templates
• Hands-on experience running paid ads and tracking performance metrics
• Proficient in Instagram and TikTok, with a deep understanding of platform trends and algorithm changes
• Strong understanding of branding, community building, and audience growth
• Creative, proactive, and full of fresh ideas
• Passion for pop culture, food, or consumer brands is a strong advantage
• Must be able to show portfolio of social media content
