Job Description

MSI Reproductive Choices is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to oversee and strengthen the financial operations of its centres and social marketing channels in Abuja. The role is responsible for driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance, supporting commercial activities, and providing high quality financial insights to support decision making across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical expertise, and experience working in complex, multi location environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations of MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices centres and social marketing channels.
• Manage and mentor the commercial team to ensure strong financial performance.
• Develop financial strategies, forecasts, and analyses for marketing operations.
• Monitor debt levels, expenditures, reconciliations, and cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and variance analyses.
• Support strategic planning and evaluation of new business opportunities.
• Conduct financial risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
• Provide advisory support on product pricing, marketing schemes, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Conduct support visits to regions, trade partners, and service centres.
• Optimize financial systems and lead finance related improvement projects.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
• Membership of a recognized professional body (ACCA, ACA, CIA, etc.) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years’ post qualification experience in management accounting or business partnering.
• Experience in FMCG or pharmaceutical distribution is preferred.
• Knowledge of grants and project management.
• Hands on experience with computerized accounting systems (Sun Systems desirable).
• Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance, and financial governance.
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software such as QuickBooks and SUN Systems.
• Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed teams and senior stakeholders.
