Role Description This is a remote volunteer role for a Content Producer at Maven Africa. The Content Producer will plan, create, and manage multimedia content that supports community learning programs, challenges, and events. Day-to-day tasks include producing videos, writing scripts and copy, refining content briefs, and collaborating with mentors, tutors, and community managers to translate learning goals into engaging content. The role also involves managing content within digital platforms, organizing assets, maintaining publishing calendars, and ensuring consistency with Maven Africa’s brand and mission. The Content Producer will regularly review performance metrics and feedback to improve future content and support a high-quality learning experience for members.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Content Production and Content Strategy skills, with the ability to translate learning objectives into engaging multimedia content.
• Candidates should possess Video Production skills, including planning, scripting, basic filming or screen recording, and editing for digital platforms.
• Candidates should possess Writing and Content Management skills to craft clear, inclusive copy and organize content across channels and repositories.
• Beneficial qualifications include familiarity with online learning communities, basic knowledge of tech or creative disciplines, and experience using content creation tools (e.g., Canva, basic video editors, or CMS platforms).
• Additional desirable attributes include strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work independently in a remote environment, openness to feedback, and a genuine interest in supporting African tech talent.
