Job Description

UNICEF is seeking a professional and reliable Driver (G-2) to provide safe and efficient driving services in Kano State. The role supports programme and operations staff by ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, UNICEF safety standards, and protocol while maintaining assigned vehicles and supporting basic administrative tasks during idle periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable, and timely driving services
•  Ensure routine vehicle care, maintenance, and readiness
•  Use digital tracking tools and complete trip documentation
•  Support communication and emergency readiness procedures
•  Assist with basic office and administrative tasks when required

Requirements

•  Secondary school education
•  Valid Nigerian driver’s licence and good knowledge of local routes
•  Minimum of 2 years’ driving experience with an international organisation, embassy, or UN system
•  Proven safe driving record and high level of professionalism
•  Ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
