Kairos is a nonprofit accelerating talent into AI safety and policy. They’ve trained 600+ people through programs like SPAR, Pathfinder, and OASIS, producing fellows featured in top conferences and publications. As a Founding Generalist, you’ll take ownership of initiatives that shape the AI safety talent pipeline. The role combines strategy, execution, outreach, relationship building, and grant evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Lead recruitment and outreach for AI safety programs
•  Review applications and help evaluate grants
•  Launch new impactful projects independent
•  Develop deep understanding of AI safety research
•  Build and manage strategic stakeholder relationships
•  Help scale team/programs in 2026–2027

Ideal Candidate: High agency, impact-driven, intellectually honest (scout mindset), decisive, and collaborative. Context in AI safety/policy or entrepreneurial drive is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

•  Base Salary: $90k–$150k
•  Retirement: 10% contribution
•  Remote role with optional AI hubs (Berkeley/London/Boston)
