Texas Health Resources is hiring a Medical Scribe to support Orthopedic Surgery Specialists Clinic. In this role, you’ll work closely with physicians to ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters and support efficient clinical workflow.
Work Schedule:
- Â Full-Time (40 hours weekly)
- Mon–Thu: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Fri: 8:00am – 2:00pm
What You Need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
-  Certified Medical Scribe (CMA) – within 90 days (required)
- 1–2 years scribe experience (strongly preferred)
- Â Orthopedic experience (preferred)
- Strong typing, coding, and documentation accuracy
- Â Ability to identify errors/inconsistencies in reports
- Â Knowledge of exam, diagnostic & treatment room procedures
- Strong patient-care attitude and professionalism
- Good computer skills (medical management systems)
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate medical procedures and diagnoses into accurate documentation
- Â Accompany physician during visits (when allowed) to record all patient interactions
- Â Review and ensure accuracy of documentation
- Â Transcribe labs, X-rays, consults, and add relevant data to charts
- Record family consultations, diagnoses, prescriptions and follow-ups
- Â Perform additional duties as directed by the physician or practice manager
