Job Description

American Express is hiring a PR Executive to support UK Corporate Affairs & Communications. The role focuses on delivering PR, media, and influencer campaigns across Consumer, B2B, Brand, Experiences, and Sponsorships, helping to protect and enhance Amex’s reputation in the UK.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and external agencies to support press office activity, media relations, influencer campaigns, sponsorship events, and executive communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Support PR and influencer campaigns (Consumer & B2B)
  •  Manage day-to-day UK press office enquiries
  •  Support major UK sponsorships (e.g. Formula 1, Wimbledon, BST Hyde Park)
  •  Draft press releases, statements, Q&As, and media briefs
  •  Build relationships with journalists across finance, consumer, lifestyle, and business media
  •  Track media coverage, trends, and issues impacting the brand
  •  Coordinate with PR agencies and cross-functional teams

Requirements:

  •  Experience in PR or communications (agency or in-house)
  •  Strong storytelling, writing, and media relations skills
  •  Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and judgement
  •  Interest in consumer PR, influencer marketing, business & brand communications
  •  Eligibility to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
