Salary: £27,485 – £30,162 per year

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a motivated, conscientious, and caring Associate Practitioner to join the Immunology Laboratory within the Flow Cytometry department.

This team delivers essential immunology assays and haematological malignancy testing across the South West Peninsula, supporting thousands of patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialist analytical testing on a range of biological samples.
  •  Support the smooth daily operation of the Flow Cytometry Laboratory.
  •  Operate and maintain specialist laboratory equipment (valued up to ÂŁ1 million).
  •  Complete general administrative and technical duties as required.
  •  Work alongside senior and support staff to deliver accurate, timely, and cost-effective services.

Person Specification:

  • Proven understanding of relevant Health & Safety legislation.
  •  Demonstrated technical competence in a Pathology laboratory.

Qualifications – Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 in Laboratory Science or equivalent experience at NVQ Level 3 level.
