Job Description

Buffer is seeking a highly skilled Senior Growth Marketing Engineer to design, build, and optimize the experiences that attract new users to Buffer. This role blends creativity, technical engineering, and data driven experimentation to accelerate user acquisition and product growth. You will work on a wide range of initiatives  including interactive marketing tools, referral systems, landing pages, SEO projects, A/B experiments, and automated growth loops all while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize growth-focused experiences such as interactive tools, landing pages, referral systems, and SEO-driven features.
• Design and execute A/B tests and data-driven experiments to improve acquisition, activation, and user conversion.
• Analyze user behavior, experiment outcomes, and performance indicators to guide growth strategies.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, engineering, and data teams to create cohesive growth initiatives.
• Develop SEO improvements, site optimizations, and technical content structures to support organic growth.
• Write clean, production-ready code and integrate APIs, automation workflows, and tracking systems.
• Continuously identify and test new growth opportunities to improve acquisition and engagement.

Requirements

• Strong skills in JavaScript, React, or similar front-end frameworks, with ability to build acquisition tools.
• Experience running A/B tests, designing growth experiments, and analyzing performance metrics.
• Solid understanding of SEO principles and technical SEO implementation.
• Familiarity with analytics platforms such as GA4, Amplitude, or Mixpanel.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities in a fully remote work environment.
• Creativity, adaptability, and a strong experimentation mindset.
