Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Remote Sensing Scientist, located in Lagos. The Remote Sensing Scientist will analyze and interpret geospatial data using advanced remote sensing techniques. Responsibilities include developing algorithms, performing data processing and validation, creating visualizations, and contributing to research and development. The role also requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and solutions to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Data Analysis, and Image Processing
• Experience with Programming Languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB
• Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools like QGIS or ArcGIS
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and Data Modeling techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Advanced degree in Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred
• Experience in cloud computing and satellite data processing is a plus
