Lafarge Cement is seeking a proactive and people focused Assistant, HR/IR Manager to support human resources and industrial relations functions at its Sagamu plant. The role involves partnering with business leaders to deliver effective HR solutions, support employee relations, and contribute to organizational performance within an industrial setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong influencing skills, adaptability, and a solution oriented mindset.

• Responsibilities
• Support HR business partnering activities within the plant.
• Assist in managing employee and industrial relations matters.
• Provide coaching and advisory support to line managers.
• Support implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
• Contribute to performance management and talent development processes.
• Support change management and organizational development initiatives.
• Assist in project management related to HR programmes.
• Promote a positive employee relations climate within the organization.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Social Sciences preferred).
• 2–3 years’ relevant experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist in an industrial setting.
• CIPD certification is an added advantage.
• Excellent influencing, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem solving ability with a solution based approach.
• Project management skills.
• Tenacious, flexible, and open to change.
