Business Development Manager

Job Description

BU Power Limited is seeking an experienced and results driven Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and build strategic relationships within the Lagos business environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and achieving sales targets, particularly within the power or engineering sector.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive company growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning
  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company goals
  • Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations, and negotiations
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue and sales targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective service delivery
  • Monitor industry trends, especially within the power and engineering sector
  • Maintain accurate records using CRM tools and prepare performance reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4–7 years relevant experience in business development or sales
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the Lagos business environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Experience in the power or engineering sector is an added advantage
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a target driven environment
