Job Description

ZemiTek, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Child Health Advisor to provide strategic and technical leadership for child health and immunisation programmes in Nigeria under the DOS LEAP Global initiative. The role will support the Federal Ministry of Health, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), and the U.S. Department of State in implementing life-saving interventions focused on routine immunisation, vaccine-preventable diseases, polio eradication, nutrition, and integrated childhood disease management. The position also strengthens primary healthcare systems through coordination, programme design, monitoring, evaluation, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic technical leadership for child health and immunisation programmes
  • Support routine immunisation, polio eradication, nutrition, and childhood disease management initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, NPHCDA, donors, and international partners
  • Lead programme design, implementation, and technical oversight
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting activities
  • Strengthen primary health care systems and service delivery
  • Coordinate stakeholders across government, donors, and implementing partners
  • Provide guidance on vaccine-preventable disease control strategies
  • Contribute to policy development and evidence-based decision making

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in child health or immunisation programmes
  • Strong expertise in routine immunisation, vaccine preventable diseases, and child health systems
  • Proven experience working with government agencies, donors, and international partners
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in programme design, monitoring, and evaluation
