Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Case Management Assistant to provide timely case management services, psychosocial support, and tailored case plans to individuals with protection concerns in Bama, Borno State. The role involves close engagement with vulnerable populations while upholding protection principles, confidentiality, and dignity.

Responsibilities
- Conduct case management intake interviews and assessments
- Develop individualized case plans in collaboration with clients
- Provide basic emotional support and psychosocial assistance
- Refer clients to appropriate services and accompany them when required
- Conduct home visits to assess living conditions and protection risks
- Document and update cases accurately on internal platforms
- Maintain confidentiality and secure case files and records
- Participate in case management meetings and coordination sessions
- Monitor case progress and provide weekly updates
- Close cases upon achievement of objectives
- Identify emergency needs and escalate to supervisors
- Coordinate with service providers for referrals and follow-ups
- Identify and report gaps in service availability and quality
- Uphold protection principles including PSEA and “Do No Harm”
- Maintain a non discriminatory, respectful, and client centered approach
- Work effectively in a fast paced humanitarian environment
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
- Ability to provide basic psychosocial support with empathy and professionalism
- Fluency in English and Hausa; Kanuri or other local languages in Borno State is an advantage
- Good computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security
- Cultural sensitivity and non discriminatory attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced humanitarian environment
