Job Description

Cinnamona Bakery is seeking a disciplined and detail oriented Assistant Baker to support daily baking operations at its Asokoro, Abuja location. This role is ideal for a calm, structured professional who values precision, consistency, and purposeful work. The Assistant Baker will work both collaboratively and independently to maintain Cinnamona’s high standards of quality, hygiene, and intentional baking while contributing to a growing, values driven bakery brand.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to approved recipes
• Assist in shaping, baking, and portioning products to ensure consistency in taste and quality
• Execute assigned baking tasks independently during designated coverage shifts
• Collaborate effectively with the Lead Baker and team during shared shifts
• Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product quality to prevent inconsistencies
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation in line with food safety and hygiene standards
• Support light decoration, labeling, and packaging in line with brand standards
• Assist with inventory monitoring to ensure ingredient freshness and minimal waste
• Adhere strictly to Cinnamona Bakery’s procedures, standards, and baking philosophy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition, Food Science, or a related discipline
• 1–2 years of experience in a professional bakery or pastry kitchen
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision when required
• Basic numeracy skills for accurate measurement and recipe scaling
• Ability to work rotational shifts (6 days per week)
• Reliable commute to Asokoro, Abuja
• Valid Food Handler Certificate is an added advantage
