Job Description

Mansa Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Associate to support its financial operations in Accra. The role involves managing budgeting processes, preparing financial statements, ensuring tax and regulatory compliance, and maintaining strong internal controls across all financial activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting. This role plays a critical part in supporting project performance, operational efficiency, and the company’s financial integrity.

• Responsibilities
• Support financial planning, budgeting, controlling, and forecasting for various company projects.
• Prepare budgets, management reports, and financial statements for review by management.
• Ensure strict compliance with tax and statutory return requirements, including timely filings and payments.
• Conduct revenue and cost analysis for multiple ongoing projects.
• Prepare key financial reports such as Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow reports, Performance Analysis, and Customer Profitability reports.
• Advise management on cost-management strategies and revenue boosting initiatives.
• Maintain ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures.
• Develop and implement financial systems and internal controls to strengthen financial reporting.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and prevent infractions.
• Ensure month end closing activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Process invoices and handle payment transactions with the bank.
• Manage fixed asset schedules and compute depreciation.
• Apply matching and accrual principles correctly in financial records.
• Manage Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables and prepare monthly reconciliations for Trial Balance items.
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintain the integrity of financial information in the accounting system.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, ICA, or CIMA are an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, financial statement preparation, and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for presenting financial information to senior management.
• Experience with financial forecasting is an added advantage.
• Solid understanding of taxation and regulatory compliance.
• Expertise in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Experience in the oil and gas sector is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT tools.
