Job Description

New Incentives is seeking motivated and community oriented Field Officers (Entry-Level) to support the implementation of its cash transfer program aimed at encouraging mothers to complete infant immunization schedules in Niger State, Nigeria. The role involves working closely with public health clinics, beneficiaries, and community stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery, accurate data collection, and compliance with operational standards. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about public health, community engagement, and social impact, and who are willing to work in remote and underserved locations.

 Responsibilities

  • Enroll eligible beneficiaries at remote public health clinics
  • Monitor immunization services and support clinic operations
  • Interact professionally with clinic staff, mothers, and community members
  • Conduct high quality rapid assessments and routine field activities
  • Support day to day program implementation and reporting
  • Manage program related financial matters and entrusted funds responsibly
  • Collect, verify, and synthesize health and operational data
  • Ensure accurate and complete clinic documentation
  • Communicate program objectives clearly to stakeholders
  • Use smartphones and digital tools for data collection and reporting
  • Work effectively in remote and hard to reach locations
  • Identify program challenges and escalate issues appropriately
  • Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards
  • Participate in trainings and capacity building activities

Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE required (OND/HND in health or natural sciences is an advantage)
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Fluency in Hausa and local dialects spoken in Niger State is an advantage
  • Experience with the Nigerian health system and clinic documentation is desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and smartphone technology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hausa
  • Detail oriented, reliable, and able to follow procedures accurately
  • Ability to work independently in remote field locations
  • Prior experience in data collection or community based programs is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of infant health and immunization is beneficial
