📍Arlington, VA (Remote possible)
Join Redhorse’s CTO team to build AI prototypes and full-stack demo applications for government missions. You’ll move fast, explore open-ended problems, and apply modern AI tools to real-world solutions. This role is ideal for self-directed engineers passionate about applied AI and full-stack development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and ship AI prototypes using modern models and tools.
- Develop full-stack demo applications (from scratch or extending existing work).
- Explore new technologies and translate research into actionable recommendations.
- Â Support customer-facing demos and internal AI education.
- Â Collaborate across teams to implement AI effectively.
Required Experience:
- Â US Security Clearance eligibility.
- Â Programming: Python and modern JavaScript/TypeScript (React or Next.js a plus).
- Â Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Factory AI).
- Â Familiarity with at least one LLM API.
- Â Git proficiency and deployment experience (cloud, Vercel, etc.).
- Â Full-stack capability or strong aptitude to learn quickly.
Desired (Optional) Experience:
- Â Public speaking/writing about technology.
- Â Exposure to federal government or DoD.
- Â Running or fine-tuning local LLMs.
-  Residency in DC–VA–MD area.
- Â Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
