Compensation: $260K – $364.5K • Offers Equity

As a Software Engineer on OpenAI’s Security team, you’ll build secure, scalable systems enhancing security observability infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, deploy, and maintain software solutions supporting detection, forensic, and compliance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable software systems for security observability.
•  Build and maintain data pipelines for security-relevant data.
•  Improve resilience and reliability of security data systems.
•  Collaborate with Detection & Response (D&R) and other security teams.
•  Support forensic investigations and compliance efforts.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong software engineering skills in Python, Golang, or similar.
•  Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and cloud platforms (Azure).
•  Experience building and maintaining data pipelines for security use cases.
•  Generalist engineering mindset, flexible across databases, SRE, and security.
•  Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
