Job Overview
We are currently recruiting Residential Support Workers to support children and young people living in residential care settings across the Ormskirk and Skelmersdale area. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while building a long-term career in children’s social care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people
  • Promote a safe, stable, and nurturing living environment
  • Support daily routines including education, appointments, and activities
  • Build positive, professional relationships with young people
  • Manage challenging behaviour in line with care plans and safeguarding policies
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
  • Participate in shift work, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties

Requirements

  • Aged 20 years or older
  • Full, clean UK manual driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathetic, motivated, and resilient approach to care
  • Willingness to work flexible shift patterns (Previous experience in care is desirable but not essential; full training is provided.)
