Job Description
MACJOBS is seeking a skilled and detail oriented FTTH Project Quality Site Engineer to ensure quality compliance and high workmanship standards across telecommunications project sites in Lagos State. The role requires a hands on professional with strong field experience in FTTH deployment who can conduct on site quality inspections, provide technical guidance to subcontractors, and support the project team in resolving site level issues. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving continuous quality improvement, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring timely reporting and closure of all quality non-conformities within a fast-paced telecom environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on site spot checks to ensure FTTH project quality compliance and workmanship standards.
- Provide on site technical and quality training to subcontractors (SBC) to improve execution quality.
- Support the project team in resolving field issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Report site quality issues and non conformities to the Quality Manager promptly.
- Follow up on all identified quality issues until full resolution and closure.
- Support continuous improvement of site quality processes.
- Promote strict adherence to safety and quality standards across project sites.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years hands on experience in FTTH or telecommunications engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of FTTH installation standards, OSP construction, and quality control processes.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must possess valid certifications in:
- Work at Height
- Electrical Safety
- First Aid
