Job Description

NewGlobe is seeking for an Associate, School Inspection to provide first line technical support to school staff by assisting with hardware and software issues and maintaining school technology equipment to ensure efficient learning environments. The role involves both remote and on site technical support, deployment of academy technology, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with the IT team to ensure reliable and effective school operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first line technical support to school staff both remotely and in person.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Deploy, install, and configure academy technology including tablets, smartphones, and other IT equipment.
  • Ensure reliable internet connectivity and a stable computer environment in supported schools.
  • Install, update, and configure operating systems and software applications.
  • Maintain, upgrade, and service existing hardware and technology infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and repair teaching accessories and devices, including charging ports, batteries, and peripherals.
  • Keep accurate records of hardware and software issues, resolutions, and maintenance activities.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Conduct regular site visits to schools to provide technical support and maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Develop and implement routine maintenance schedules for school technology assets.
  • Provide basic training and technical guidance to school staff.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and service management standards.
  • Support procurement and deployment of IT equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Vendor neutral IT certification such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of PC hardware, software, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Hands on experience with Android operating systems and mobile devices.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking and Local Area Networks (LAN).
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in IT equipment maintenance, repair, and support.
  • Willingness to conduct field visits and provide on site technical support.
