Job Description
This role focuses on overseeing the full life cycle of a large data centre construction project. As the Site Project Manager, you act as the primary on-site leader ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and according to technical and regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements:
On-Site Project Leadership (Full-time, 5 days/week)
- Manage day-to-day operations across construction, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning activities.
- Serve as the main point of contact between contractors, engineers, vendors, and the client.
Monitor progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.
Mechanical & Electrical Oversight: Because data centres are highly sensitive environments, strong MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) skills are essential.
Expect to:
- Oversee installation and testing of electrical distribution systems, UPS systems, switchgear, and power infrastructure.
- Ensure proper installation of cooling systems, including chillers, coolers, CRAC/CRAH units, and related HVAC components.
- Coordinate with specialist subcontractors to ensure systems meet performance and redundancy requirements.
3. Technical Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Confirm all work complies with German regulations (DIN standards), safety protocols, and client specifications.
- Manage inspections, testing, and commissioning phases.
Review technical drawings and identify conflicts early.
4. Scheduling & Reporting
- Maintain the project schedule using tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Prepare weekly status reports and updates for senior stakeholders.
- Track risks, budget usage, and resource allocations.
5. Stakeholder & Contractor Coordination
- Manage multiple subcontractors on-site.
- Lead coordination meetings.
